It’s the most wonderful time of the year! If you call New Braunfels home, you know all about Wurstfest, the 10-day salute to the sausage! New Braunfels is heavily steeped in German history and tradition, and at no time is it more celebrated than during Wurstfest. Running November 7-16, 2014, Wurstfest is fun for the whole family: aside from the food, which is varied and plentiful (and delicious!) and beer (of course!), there is music, dancing, a carnival with rides and games, shopping, German travel information, craft sales, live theater, and so much more! Living in New Braunfels couldn’t be better at this time of year!

4:00pm-11:30pm Opening Day
11:00am-12:30am Saturdays
11:00am- 9:30pm Sundays
5:00pm- 9:30pm Monday-Wednesday
5:00pm-11:30pm Thursday-Friday
If you live in New Braunfels, you recognize the name Alex Meixner -- a master musician who plays everything in his shows from traditional polka to Guns ‘N Roses on his accordian! And if you go to Wurstfest, you don’t want to miss Alex Meixner! He has an inexhaustible energy that rubs off on his audience and gets you moving and singing along (whether you know the words or not!). And no trip to Wurstfest is complete without participating in the Chicken Dance at least once! You can dance with a couple hundred of your closest friends in Wursthalle, because it is sure to be played at least once an hour by any one of the wonderful bands inside!
